WHY I AM A FOODPRENEUR
It was Denay’s destiny to bake and become a food entrepreneur. Baking fascinated her from the time she was 4-years old. Watching my mother make Danish pastry from scratch every spring and she was soon hooked. The dough, the butter, kneading, the rising of the dough. It was magical and drew her into the wonderful world of baking. Her goal became to not only learn how to bake but also, teach others. Denay insists, “there is something hypnotic, even alluring about baking. It is therapeutic.”
Denay loves traveling, reading a good book on the beach, searching antique shops and participating in good conversations with bakers from around the globe. She collects International Cookbooks from around the world and strives to live a peace filled life.

Simple. Denay is an educator, a coach dedicated to changing the lives of those willing to work and commit to changing their lives through making and selling food products. Today, Denay is committed to bringing back those recipes that have been lost due to cultural neglect and a lack of desire to cook and back keeping family recipes alive. Denay is best known for her work as a business developer for Cottage Food operators and micro food processors. She is best known for her Louisiana Gumbo recipe used by a number of food trucks.

Denay’s experience in food stretches back to the early 1980s, operating a catering business, working as a personal cook, food stylist, recipe developer, and Home-based baker.
