WHY I AM A FOODPRENEUR

It was Denay’s destiny to bake and become a food entrepreneur. Baking fascinated her from the time she was 4-years old. Watching my mother make Danish pastry from scratch every spring and she was soon hooked. The dough, the butter, kneading, the rising of the dough. It was magical and drew her into the wonderful world of baking. Her goal became to not only learn how to bake but also, teach others. Denay insists, “there is something hypnotic, even alluring about baking. It is therapeutic.”

Denay loves traveling, reading a good book on the beach, searching antique shops and participating in good conversations with bakers from around the globe. She collects International Cookbooks from around the world and strives to live a peace filled life.

THE BOOK I READ THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Profit First: Transform Your Business from a Cash-Eating Monster to a Money-Making Machine by Mike Michalowicz, and Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer by Priscilla Shirer.

MY NEWEST OBSESSION

Learning to bake using exotic liquors.
